God continues to amaze me with how He provides for me and my family. My husband and I try to be smart with our money and not blow it on things we don't need, but the economy is still effecting us. I was just told a couple of weeks ago that my position will be cut after May. It makes me so glad God is in control!
***I love our "date night." After a busy week, hubby and I try to spend Friday night as just the 2 of us. We usually go out to a cheap dinner and come home to watch a movie on TV. There was a raffle recently, where the proceeds were to benefit the Special Education department at a local high school. I donated $1 (1 ticket) and won a $25 restaurant gift card! Hello date night :) I believe that was more than luck.
***My husband's hours were recently cut at work. He greeted me at the door with "I have some bad news." When he told me about his hours, I wasn't a bit worried. In the mail that day, we had received checks and gift cards that equaled over $90. It was like God saying "hours, shmours. Let me show what I can do."
***I tithe after taxes on my paycheck and my husband tithes before. Married less than a year, this was our first time filing taxes together. When the refund money came, we didn't want to figure out 10% of what I didn't tithe on, so we decided to donate 10% of the entire refund. The majority of the money went to Samaritan's Purse. The day after we mailed the check, someone at church wrote a check for the exact same amount and donated it to the church's softball team (which my hubby is playing on and coaching). No one had asked for the money or even mentioned the softball team's need for help.
